Hell Awaits

Gene Kiernan
Awoken by a frightful scream
Its couldn't have been just an awful dream

As the little girl creeps down the stairs
She begins to recite her nightly prayers

Crash, bang, bump
The noises made her jump

As she steps into the room
She feels the darkness begin to bloom

Not knowing what to do
She dropped to the floor as if on cue

She begins to cry
As books start to fly

She scream "leave me alone"
For this the darkness begins to moan.

The house begins to shake
As if it was a terrible quake.

Just then the floor begins to crack
She stands her ground as if ready to attack.

Hands are shaking
Knees are quaking

Out of the crack spewed evil laughter
The demonic voice whispered "i'm bringing to the the hereafter".

She tried to escape
But only came away with a scrape

As the beast pulled her down
She kicked and screamed as if she would drown

This was the end
As she continued to ascend

Scared to the core
She knew her life was no more
