Hellbilly Deluxe 2 by Rob Zombie - Album Review

Rich Jones
Rob Zombie is probably one of the most popular musicians in the world today. If you have never heard this Heavy Metal musician then you have probably been under a rock somewhere. Rob is the leader of the band White Zombie and he has become a successful horror film director.

His production credits includes movies such as House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. He has sold millions of records around the world according to Billboard Charts available via their website at Billboard.com. I love his music because it is everything that Pop music isn't.

I love that it is aggressive and not overly emotional like a lot of music. I once watched Rob Zombie appear on Howard Stern and he explained that he puts all of his energy into every track. That is what I love about his music, it is upfront and straightforward and doesn't require much effort to listen to. Because of this I decided to pre order his upcoming album titled Hellbilly Deluxe 2 via Best Buy for $10. I must tell you that I took a risk on this release because I didn't enjoy his last solo CD titled Hellbilly Deluxe just a few years ago. I thought it would be a good idea to listen to the CD via Youtube before it arrives in stores to see what I would be getting.

The CD has 11 tracks in total and the length of the CD is 46:13 from start to finish. The best tracks on the CD are Mars Needs Women, Cease to Exist, and Sick BubbleGum. I won't say that this is his best material but I did enjoy these songs. These tracks alone are probably worth the purchase of the CD. It is well worth the $10 price tag because this CD is a lot better than his last release.

If you are a fan I do suggest that you buy this CD even though it is not better than his band material with White Zombie. If you like bands like Pantera, Slayer, and Slipknot then I suggest you buy this release. This is a great Metal CD and I find it to be a lot better than his previous release. I would rate this CD 3/5 because it could be a lot longer but I do enjoy the tracks that I mentioned above. When this CD arrives in stores I suggest you buy it.
