Hello Courageous Bug

Mario V. Farina

Hello, courageous bug.
Do you like the windshield of my car?
You'd better be getting off soon.

Oh, you won't, eh?
I'll go slowly now, but plan to hasten later.
You'd better get off as I build up speed.

Oh, you won't, eh?
I'll be traveling much more quickly soon.
Better get off before I hit fifty.

Oh, you won't, eh?
Will sixty miles per hour sway you?
How long can you cling to the windy windshield?

Finally! So long little bug!
I greatly hated doing this to you.
But do you know you've got a problem now?

Oh, you don't, eh?
With you hanging on so hard, I went fast and far.
How will you find where your wife and children are?
