Hello Mary Lou Prom Night II

Hell Hath No Fury like a Woman Scorned

Jay Braun
This is a horror film about a woman named Mary Lou who wants to take vengeance for events that occurred on the night at her senior prom. Mary Lou Maloney was a rather wild young lady who likes to have sexual relations with men. At the beginning of the movie she goes to a church for confession. During her confession she tells the priest about these sins then she tells him that she loved every minute of the sex with the men that she was with. She also writes her phone number and to call for a good time on confession in lipstick.

The basis for the movie is her being killed by her prom date from a joke gone bad. Mary Lou's prom date is a wealthy young man named Bill Nordham. Mary Lou sends Bill for to get her a drink and she makes out with a bad boy named Buddy Copper. They get caught making out by Bill and Mary Lou throws a glass of punch at him after telling him that she was just using him. She basically says that it does not matter who you go someplace with but who you leave with. She wins Prom Queen. Bill decides that he wants to get even and decides to throw a stink bomb from the rafters of the gym. In doing this he catches her dress on fire and she burns up after looking up and seeing him.

The film then goes thirty years in the future. A young girl named Vikki Carpenter is nominated for Prom Queen. She opens a trunk in the school's basement. Strange things then start to happen. Her best friend dies and in the process Mary Lou comes back from the dead as a vengeful demon sprit and possesses Vikki. She wants to use the form of Vikki to take her revenge. She also wants the chance to finally wear her crown. Does she get her revenge? What does she ask her priest to do to help her?

The movie is a good movie with some pretty good acting. The female characters are rather sexy. The movie is not a great movie though. It is good enough to watch if it is on television or if the DVD is in the bargain bin at a store. They also have since made some sequels to this movie and a remake of the original film.
