Hell's Kitchen Winner is Dave as Predicted

Not Even a Hell's Kitchen Injury Could Hold Back Dave's Talent

Hell's Kitchen picked a winner last night and it was the very deserving Dave, the self-proclaimed one armed bandit. Dave showed the intense tenacity that it takes to make it through and be the Hell's Kitchen winner. And the fact that he broke his wrist during the competition and still managed to emerge the Hell's Kitchen winner, even further showed his incredible culinary talent.

The Hell's Kitchen two hour finale started with the final three chefs having to create dishes from the three different countries of Mexico, India and China. Dave immediately admitted that he had never cooked Indian food as soon as he blindly selected India as his cuisine country. Dave further chose pork, a meat not served in India, as his dish. Yet even with these two handicaps he still easily won the Hell's Kitchen challenge.

After the dinner challenge, where all three Hell's Kitchen chefs took turns at running the kitchen, Chef Ramsay sent Ariel home with her jacket and her pride. That left Kevin and Dave as the final two to battle it out for who would win Hell's Kitchen and be the executive chef for Chef Ramsay's Araxi restaurant in Whistler, British Columbia.

Then Chef Ramsay, even after the intense Hell's Kitchen dinner service they just went through, has an additional challenge for our finalist's. He tossed them into a limousine and took them downtown to cook a main dish in 45 minutes for five renowned food critics. Once again Dave rose to the occasion with his venison dish and won the challenge.

Then came the final Hell's Kitchen dinner service. Dave went with a simpler menu than Kevin, not ostentatious or over the top. Just excellent Hell's Kitchen level food prepared to top-notch standards. Nothing left Dave's kitchen unless it was perfect. Meanwhile Kevin had some issues with uncooked risotto and then problem scallops.

While Kevin could cook and he did produce some amazing dishes, he was also too arrogant and sure of himself. He had an attitude that I think Chef Ramsay saw at times and didn't appreciate. Of course he also sabotaged Ariel when she was working the pass at dinner service. It was so obvious what he was doing and he should have been sent packing just for that stupid move.

Just as I rightly predicted back on September 2nd : "I personally think the winner of Hell's Kitchen this season will be Dave. He will rise to the occasion of Chef Ramsay's whims and he will be the last chef standing." I love it when I am right. Congratulations Dave!

I've never seen this show, but the commercials for it make it seem really cutthroat, and these guys have really sharp knives!
