Helmut Lang Fall 2010 Collection

If there is one designer this fall season to emulate in style, let it be Helmut Lang. His fall 2010 collection may be the strongest to date, depicting all the style trends and must-haves for the season. The collection includes everything from rabbit-collared jackets to leather leggings. The color palette, which features a neutral color scheme includes strong blacks and grays with pops of white and camel. Silhouettes drew inspiration from the work of Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, with well constructed coats and utilitarian jackets mixed in with organic prints on their draped silk dresses to balance a strong masculinity with touch of femininity. Here are a few favorite pieces to covet from the collection.

The cowl neck sweater dress is a fall fashion staple. Helmut Lang's is ribbed and kitted of chucky wool with a semi sheer style. Perfect over his geometric lace leggings made of a combination of slubbed wool, jersey and lace.

The Raven top is a silk print top tailored with a crossover V neck and solid jersey side panels. It features an elegant draping and pleating at front and an asymmetrical hem and hidden back zip. When paired with the collection's skinny leather pant, the outfit creates the perfect blend of grace and edge. The pants are designed with an elastic waistband, faux fl and faux slant hip pockets with a 10" leg opening.

Lang's collection of sheer tops are undeniably sexy designed with incredible attention to detail. The bone stitch sweater is a scoop-neck loose-knit top featuring open-stitch panels and long sleeves. As if that weren't enough detailing, it's also constructed with crisscross straps at back. The uneven stitch sweater is an open knit, V-neck wool sweater with ribbed yoke, a rounded hem, vertical back seam and ribbed long sleeves.

The crackled leather pant from the collection introduces a new pant silhouette that is sure to be the "it" pant of the season. These slouchy, crackled leather pants come complete with front pleat, seams at the knee, slant hip pockets and welt back designed in a beautiful heather gray fabrication.
