Helmut Schmidt Calls IPCC Researchers "Fraudulent"

Lorraine Yapps Cohen
It took a German to point the finger. Helmut Schmidt, former Chancellor of Germany, called the IPCC into question, called the findings of its researchers fraudulent, and charged that the international climate group is politically motivated.

Shady tactics of the IPCC
The IPCC has raised skepticism toward itself. A series of email leaks showed the International Panel on Climate Change honored doctored data, selectively chose certain literature, used questionable procedure, or otherwise cooked the books to show the world to be warming when it wasn't.

This same group of less-than-upfront scientists are empowered with the pen, writing the reports upon which governments make policy. Their word is gospel on climate...up until ClimateGate caught them in lies.

Schmidt speaks
Now that a former head of state in Germany questions IPCC's integrity does the world listen in earnest. Actually, much of the world didn't hear Helmut Schmidt's words-they were in German uttered two months ago-until Dr. Benny Peiser translated them into English. (Dust off your Deutsche if you dare and read the entire speech in German here.)

MSM ignores speech
Obviously, the American mainstream media wished that the speech be buried in German forever. They don't report what they don't like. Why expose the global warming hoax more than it's been uncovered already? Until the speech was translated and reported today in a blog, the IPCC challenge would remain on the other side of the pond.

Investigate IPCC
In his speech at the Max Planck Institute, Schmidt called for an investigation of the IPCC. It's about time somebody stood tall toward that tainted group. But any investigation must be fully independent and have full legal powers. It should be extended to science organizations in the U.S. and abroad that follow in the footsteps of IPCC's jaundiced positions.

The American Physical Society comes to mind, and the U.K.'s Royal Society. Honored members of both groups have raised objections to their societys' official position on global warming science as 'settled.'

The IPCC established this position in the first place, showing the way for national groups to follow. It raised the prospect of professional science organizations succumbing to the power-and corruption-of politically motivated science. Instead of science uncovering the universe's secrets, groups like these work under the cover of science for funding.

Pack up the IPCC
The cat is out of the bag-so to speak. The global warming hoax, perpetuated by the IPCC, has been noticed around the world. Whether it's said in German, squelched by American MSM, or shown by snow falling in feet, an international panel spouting global warmth should be put on ice.

Powerful writing, Lorraine. Now I'm going to dust off my German and visit the link you provided. It may be the only way to get around Lindsay and Charlie garbage.

And yet there are still millions of idiot leftists claiming anyone who does not agree with their hopeful interpretation are akin to "Holocaust deniers." Nice Ms Cohen!

This is marvelous work here Lorraine. I totally agree with this. I believe the real hot air that if anything is warming, is coming out of all of their mouths and is the true source of it. :-)
