Help Haiti for Free

Esper_D
Due to the unfortunate circumstances, Haiti is in major need of our help right now as thousands of Haitians are badly injured, at risk of death and already dead. The combination of an already impoverished country with a dangerous earthquake has resulted in devastating consequences for those near the capital, Port-au-Prince. Victims include families, children and babies, the elderly, the sick in hospitals and every type of individual possible. Your assistance is greatly needed at such a tragic time.

If you can or have already contributed money, then that is wonderful. If you cannot donate any more money or any at all, luckily there are other ways you can help.

A simple vote on Facebook:

Yes, that is all it takes to send $1million to the Haiti relief fund. Chase is going to give away money to a charity to use in a charitable way. The Friendship Circle plans to use its funds, if they win the most votes, towards Haiti. Please log into your Facebook account, become a fan and vote for the Friendship Circle today. Please hurry as this contest ends soon and Haiti needs help as soon as possible.

Mypoints:

If you are a user of Mypoints, you can donate your points to the Red Cross, which is actively working to provide relief to Haiti. It doesn't cost you a dime and you will be helping many lives in the process. If you are a new member to Mypoints, I believe you gets points just for signing up, which can be automatically donated to the Red Cross. You can donate anywhere between 500-5,000 points. However, if you have more, you can always do two transactions.

Swagbucks:

If you haven't already heard about what Swagbucks is, it's a search engine that rewards you for searching. It doesn't cost you anything, but occasionally you will win 1SB or even more, just for a simple search! (like Google, but with rewards) You can then convert those Swagbucks into real prizes and even cash. Fortunately, you can also donate them into $$ for Haiti. You can donate in denominations of anywhere between 1 to 100 Swagbucks. Please put your SB to good use and donate them today.

USPS and FedEx:

Both of these delivery companies began to collect donations to be transported to Haiti, for free. Unfortunately, do to transportation issues, this has been suspended and plans to resume as soon as the time is appropriate. Please check back periodically with their site to see when shipments resume. You can donate non-perishable goods, clothing and other much needed items. You'll just need to drop it off at their office.

Any way that you can help is a tremendous and generous act on your part and I encourage you to assist where possible. Thank you.

From Gather.com: I am writing to let you know that we have made it possible for you to donate your Gather Points to the American Red Cross Haiti relief and rebuilding efforts in $1, $5, $10 and $25 amounts through earnings.gather.com.

100% of the value of the points you donate will go directly to the Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund and Gather will match the first $10,000 donated to the Red Cross by our members.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated their points. I am grateful to see the Gather community standing with the people of Haiti during these exceptionally difficult times.

Please help spread the word to your friends in the site.

    Thank you,

    Tom Gerace
    CEO, Gather
