Local donations:
While many local organizations and businesses may be fundraising to earn money for Haiti, there are others who are accepting non-monetary donations as well. This includes clean clothing for both adults and children, non-perishable foods (minus canned goods and sometimes water) and types of medical care equipment such as first aid kits. Keep your eye out while reading the newspaper and community fliers to see which such local places are doing this. This way you can donate what you do have and still make a very generous contribution to Haiti relief.
Support volunteers:
Thousands of volunteers are helping Haiti during this crisis. This includes people in Haiti where the devastation took place to those who have been transferred oversees to be cared for by medical staff and have temporary assistance. While the volunteers are doing so out of the kindness of their heart and do not expect any type of reward, a little inspiration on your part could still go a long way. Words of encouragement cost nothing, yet mean so much.
One way to spread the love through words is to send a message to the volunteers of the Red Cross in Haiti by clicking here: http://american.redcross.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ntld_send_msg_to_haiti

Gather.com
Are you a member of the social networking site, Gather.com? If so, then you are already familiar with the points you receive for doing certain activities such as commenting on users' videos and joining social groups. Even if you are not already a member, you can join now, get involved with a Gather.com Haiti group and talk about ways to help. Your points can then be donated to the Red Cross as a monetary donation on your part. Best of all, Gather.com will match all donations to the Red Cross, up to $10,000! That is potentially $20,000 that could be of assistance to Haitians who desperately need our help right now.
If you know of any other free ways not discussed in this article or the previous one, please be sure to mention so in the comments, thank you!
