Help for a Shower Stall

Teresa (Tracey) Stanisha
If you have a shower stall that just doesn't look the way you want it to there are things that you can do. Perhaps there are unsightly stains along the bottom, or there are no places to put your shampoo and other items and you are tired of carrying them in a little basket to put in it. Well, here are some ideas for improving the way a shower stall looks and make it more comfortable for you. Use them and see if they make a difference for you.

For stains along the bottom of a shower stall here is a really good solution. Make sure the area is as clean as possible. Use a good cleaner and scrub it thoroughly. Next, you will want to go to a craft store and find some really pretty artificial flowers. Make sure that you get them in a color that will fit in with the rest of the color scheme in the bathroom. When you bring the flowers home you should wash them thoroughly and dry them. Then, you can set them all along the base of the shower to cover up the unattractive stains. Arrange them so they look very pretty. You don't need to fasten them to anything, just let them sit freely. It will look very nice and these are easy to care for. When you clean the shower again you should make sure that you also clean the flowers because they will tend to collect some mildew over time. Keeping them clean and dry will help to keep that under control. You should not use this idea if you have a bathtub because you will not be able to use the tub. If you do not use the tub, then you will be able to use the flower idea if you want to.

To help with storing items in your shower, you should get one of the space helpers that hang from the shower head. Then you can set all of your shampoo and other items into them. Another great item for a shower is a waterproof stool so that you can sit on it in the shower. You can also set items on it, too.

Shower curtains can also pose a problem if there are tears or rips in them. You don't always have to purchase a new one right away. Patch the holes with tape from the inside and from the outside insert small sprigs of pretty artificial flowers to match the color scheme in your bathroom. This will give it a new look. Trim any excess curtain away. You can also cover up some of the bad spots with a pretty fabric and tie it with a tassel. You can get very creative when you are dealing with shower curtains so use your imagination and make yours look different and unique.

When you are frustrated with our shower and the expense of replacing it or redoing it is too much, try the tips above and see if they can help you to make a more comfortable surrounding for when you need to take your shower.
