When planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort, there are many things to consider. From planning your budget, to travel arrangements, hotels and meals, working out the details of your upcoming trip to Disneyland takes quite a lot of thought. Additionally, if you are planning to visit the Disneyland Resort with extended family members, you must address extra details that pertain to your visit. If you are planning to visit the Disneyland Resort with extended family members, read ahead for tips and advice that can make your trip run more smoothly.

Try to work out a tentative itinerary - There are so many choices available to guests of the Disneyland Resort, that it's really very necessary to at least organize a little bit when you are planning to visit with extended family members. From the most general details, such as which hotel(s) people will be staying at, to more specific ones, such as which restaurants everyone wants to visit, developing a basic itinerary of your visit is necessary if you don't want to waste a lot of time during the trip trying to work out these decisions with everyone in your group.

Decide on your pace - Is everyone in your group willing to stroll around with few plans as to which attractions you'll ride, or do some of you want to utilize RideMax and Fast Pass in order to hit every ride in the park? Better find out before your trip takes place, because conflicts within your group in regards to what pace you will be covering the parks at, have the potential to ruin your visit.

Get some idea as to what time everyone is planning to arrive at the parks each day - If it's important to you to be in line half an hour before the gates open, but you know your in-laws like to sleep in, then you need to have some plan for how you're going to handle it. Try to avoid conflict in these situations by suggesting that you all meet up inside a chosen park at a specific time. This way, if you want to ride a lot of attractions during those early morning hours while your in-laws are having a leisurely breakfast, you'll still have a plan for the remainder of the day.

Talk about meals ahead of time - It can reduce the potential for a lot of stress if members of your group have a plan for where they are eating for specific meals during your visit to the Disneyland Resort. Everyone in your group may not have the same tastes in food, or they may want to eat at different times. If things start getting complicated, you may want to suggest that meals don't need to be eaten all together as a group.

Visiting the Disneyland Resort with extended family will likely pose some challenges, so try to get organized while still being flexible.
