Magazines from all kinds can spark an interest in children's creativity and imagination. They may start pretending to eat the foods that are on many pages of the magazines that they are looking at. Here are a few of great magazine selection choices:
- Cricket Magazine
- American Girl
- Turtle
- Cat Fancy
- Boy's Life
All children should build their dreams as high as they are willing to climb. These magazines are tools that will help build their confidence and self-esteem. Just let them play and see what will come to their mind.
Many of these magazines have interesting pictures for a child to ponder upon with much anticipation. Animals always catch a child's attention like the magazine Cat's Fancy. Children can pretend to pet them and talk about their interesting features. The options for conversation are endless.
I could tell you about each of these great options that I've mentioned; however I'd advice you to research these magazine options and find out which ones suit your child's interest. I've named several children's magazines, but many other types of magazines will interest children.
Try finding magazines with food recipes on it. The great pictures will be great for their imagination when they play its dinner time. Pretend along with them and ask them to serve you what is showing on one of the recipes. Thank them and leave them a tip. Express how great the pretend food was. Then, ask them if you can serve them.
You'll see, the fun will have just begun. Great minds start from someone who gives a child great interesting tools to build their imagination. Magazines are just one tool that can help build more skills. Magazines have pictures to build their imagination along with building their self-confidence. Let the children use safety scissors and try cutting out foods or dress accessories, animals, and anything that may stimulate their curiosity.

This is a wonderful idea. You are never to young to learn.
I liked cutting pictures out of magazines and arranging them in a collage. Unfortunately, I went through some vintage National Geographics that would probably be worth a fortune today!
