Hemp Foot Protector from the Body Shop: Product Review

Robert Borden
In the spring and summer months, my feet are unfortunately a very pretty sight. I wear flip-flops when I go out on most day, and while they are comfortable, they leave my feet exposed to the air which can lead to dry skin. I find that my feet get very dry and itchy, and the skin on my feet becomes very hard which can lead to flaking and cracking. Usually, I just apply a normal body lotion to my feet, but I find that I need to apply lotion to my feet several times per day in order to keep them looking their best. I began to search for a foot lotion that would last longer and need less re-application when someone suggested that I look at The Body Shop.

I explained my foot situation to the sales girl at my local Body Shop mall store, and she suggested that I give their Hemp Foot Protector a try. The product cost $14 for a relatively small tub, which seemed expensive, but the sales associate told me that just a little bit of The Body Shop product went a long way, so I decided to give it a try. The Body Shop doesn't test any of their products on animals which is important to me, and the Foot Protector contained "Community Trade" hemp seed oil, so I knew I was supporting people in developing countries by giving the product a try.

When I first went to apply the Hemp Foot Protector to my feet, I was surprised at how thick the product was. It was much thicker than an ordinary body lotion and was almost the consistency of a body butter. The Foot Protector had a slight earthy smell which was both pleasant and relaxing. When I applied the product to my feet, it immediately felt like it was cooling and moisturizing my cracked, dry skin. The product rubbed completely into my feet without leaving them feeling sticky or greasy.

I really liked that I could apply the Hemp Foot Protector from The Body Shop in the evening, and I could still feel it on my skin when I woke up in the morning. I could definitely tell the thick, butter-like Foot Protector was keeping my feet moist and nourished. I used the product regularly for several weeks and I definitely noticed a vast improvement in the appearance and feel of my feet. If you find that your feet get dry and cracked, you should give the Hemp Foot Protector from The Body Shop a try. It is a bit of an initial investment, but when you see what a high quality product it is you'll be happy you spent the money. The Hemp Foot Protector is available at Body Shop stores nationwide or from your local Body Shop at Home independent consultant.
