The motto of Henley Putnam University is Advancement, Vigilance, and Allegiance. As a school designed for working professionals already serving in the public or private sector of intelligence, protection, and counter terrorism, no other motto would seem better.
Henley Putnam University currently offers certificate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs which may be completed at a distance. Certificate programs include courses of study in executive protection, intelligence analysis, counter terrorism studies, security management, intelligence collection, strategic intelligence, and intelligence and terrorism profiling. Bachelor's and Master's degrees are offered in management of personal protection, intelligence management, and terrorism and counter terrorism studies. A doctorate degree is currently only available in one subject; strategic security.
An advanced degree from Henley Putnam for current public sector employees is meant to allow those employees an opportunity to compete in the civilian job market when a person has completed their federal employment. This is most true for military members who are able to retire after twenty years of military service but who would like to continue working in the specialty which they have been trained in.
Tuition for Henley Putnam University isn't cheap, especially when compared to other online universities. Bachelor degree level courses currently run $1,188.00 each, each master's level course is $1,570.50, and each doctorate level course is $1,687.50. These prices do not include course materials, like books, which vary by class. While the cost of classes may seem rather high, the monthly start dates offer a level of convenience. Classes start on the first day of every month and are ten weeks long. This means that working professionals do not have to wait for the start of a new semester to start taking classes and only have to wait until the first of the month.
The list of academic instructors is one that is rather impressive, with most staff resumes mentioning federal service in law enforcement or intelligence capacities. Students can rest assured that they will receive the best possible instruction from instructors who have real world experience with which to draw from.
