Henry and Emma

Lost in the Bowl

Z-Eagle
One strange night inside the farmhouse, Henry and Emma, the farmer's mischievous mice, who lived in the safety of the well insulated walls, were busy eating on some cracker crumbs that were left behind by the farmer and his wife.

"I'm really getting tired of eating the same old stuff night after night" Henry said to Emma. "I know.
All they ever leave is bread crumbs, cracker crumbs, and always that piece of cheese that has been on that trap for years". Emma cried in discuss.

Then the utmost strange smell came across the noses of those two little mice.

Henry was first to point out to Emma that he has not smelled that fragrance since he was living in the apartment above the cafe on 52nd St. 20 yrs ago. Emma Said," I smelled it when I was a teenager at the house in the woods." It is POPCORN!!!! They both shouted in excitement.

They both came up with a plan on how they were going to get to the popcorn bowl without the farmer and his wife catching them.

" They always leave something behind when they are done eating. When they finish, the farmer goes to the bathroom. His wife goes down to the barn. They are both out of that room for at least two hours. So when they leave, we'll scurry up the table leg, and if we're lucky, they leave a spoon or fork to use".

As predicted, the farmer and his wife both left the room. The two ran as fast as they could to the room where the popcorn was. They scurried up the table leg and discovered that they indeed left a big table spoon there as well.

"O.K. Emma. You go stand on the end of the handle and I'll stand on the handle next to the ladle end. So when I jump into the ladle, it will catapult you into the bowl." Emma nodded in agreement.

Henry Jumped and Emma flew like an acrobat into the bowl.

"Now throw out some to me, so we can have a snack for later, after they have gone to bed." Henry shouted. Emma hoisted some out one at a time, for those popcorn pieces were rather heavy for a little mouse. Emma discovered that she didn't realize how slippery butter was and was having a difficult time pushing the popcorn up the bowl. "Hurry up Emma". Henry shouted". They are coming."

But Emma could not get out of the bowl the harder she tried the slipperier it had become. So if you decide to smoke marijuana, remember the story of Henry and Emma.
