I am no longer searching
For the special woman.
I no longer anticipate
That I will find her.
I accept my aloneness
And have discovered in my
Solitude over the years
Things I will keep;
Living and working,
Feeling my experience
Each moment in the sun,
Sensing feeling and thought
In other living beings
And creatures.
I do all this now with an
Easy awareness that is fun.
To an observer I might appear
To be unhappy,
But I am neither unhappy or happy.
I am somewhat sad, this is true,
But I am enjoying existence,
Being alive is good.
Sure, maybe I'll discover
A female someday with whom
I can share;
She with expressions from her soul
That exhibit truth,
And is careful to be loving in all things.
She does exist somewhere and I do want her,
But the probability of us meeting and knowing,
Is of course, remote.
I am therefore, resigned
To having her in my heart,
And joined within my spirit and mind.
I travel easier now, feeling more whole.
For the special woman.
I no longer anticipate
That I will find her.
I accept my aloneness
And have discovered in my
Solitude over the years
Things I will keep;
Living and working,
Feeling my experience
Each moment in the sun,
