Her Own Way

Trying to stay out of her way.
Letting her develop her own way.
She thinks she knows it all.
She believes she understands.

But really she does not understand.
She cannot understand.
How could she understand?
Only a little girl.

I did everything I could.
I have nothing to shame.
I paid the price to be free.
I worked hard and did it all.

Still today the little lady she is.
She blames me for everything.
Only seeing things her own way.
I did my best and I love her anyway.
