Her Pain
I gazed upon her troubled stare
The pain beneath her emerald eyes
A wish to end her tormented soul
To bequeath a peace, not yet known
Tears envelope her silken skin
The pain released to show the world
I see and feel the pain around
Pressing upon my weary heart
To know a hammer blow felt through the veins
Time does not heal a lifetime of sorrow
No matter what I practice
A constant battle of my love to her death
I am there she sees, her only hope and saviour
She battles her mind, just to save my own
From the endless worry of a life stolen
Not hers to give plain
But I will not give up, no, not now
For I know what can be
If she can only break free
I can feel her pain
So can she feel my endearing love, any love
That I wait still to see,
For stay here I will, upon her gaze
A wait to see love conquer her pain.
