Herbal Essence Tousle Me Softly Shampoo Review

Doesn't Work as Good as it Smells

Herbal Essence recently came out with some new line of hair care products which include shampoo, conditioner, mousse and hair spray, each line was designed to achieve a certain kind of a hair style. One of their lines, and probably the one that's been promoted the most lately, is their Tousle Me Softly line. As the name implies these products are meant to give the user a tousled hair style that's suppose to be effortless. Well, I've tried every product but the hair spray in this line and was disappointed by the results, however, this review will be on the shampoo and how it fared as a shampoo in general.

I've used Herbal Essence's Tousle Me Softly shampoo for several months before coming to these conclusions. I'll start off with the pros. I definitely like the scent, it's a little fruity and floral but doesn't smell like candy, that's always a plus for me. I can't stand sweet smelling products, it reminds me of high school. A grown woman shouldn't smell like a teenage girl. It's no doubt affordable even with it's flashy packaging. The overall brand makes some good quality shampoos and this one did a good job of leaving my hair feeling clean. I also liked that it's easy to find because of the brand. I was able to find it in most drugs stores, Wal-Mart and Target. I like that the lid is one of those push to open kind and it's a pretty big one which makes it all that much easier to open and close.

Now for the cons. This shampoo is part of the Tousled Me Softly line but I don't see how it aids to achieve the tousled hair look one bit. I honestly think the shampoo and conditioner part of this line is just a gimmick because I don't see much difference between this shampoo and some of the other shampoos I've tried. I have noticed that it leaves my hair feeling a tad dry so I'd have to use more conditioner than usual to get moisture back into my hair. Still, even after my hair dries it doesn't feel as moisturized as it does with my usual Herbal Essence shampoo. I don't think it works very well for people with fine hair, especially people with fine hair who bathe in hard water.

To sum it up, I honestly don't think Herbal Essence's Tousle Me Softly shampoo is worth spending the money on. I don't see it working any better than the other Herbal Essence shampoos, or even aiding to achieve a tousled hair look that it so obviously advertising.
