Herbal Essences' "Hello Hydration" Versus Sun Silks' "De-Frizz" Shampoo and Conditioner

I'm sure there are several ladies out there whom, like me suffers from frizzy hair on a day to day basis. And the only thing that could be more annoying than over stimulated frizz prone hair is finding a purchase worthy product to put in your hair. I recently received a gift set of the Sun Silk De-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. I used it and liked it very much. But when I ran out I decided to try something else. I ran across Herbal Essences' Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner, another product that I like. Although these two products are similar in use they do have several different pros and cons.

One thing that I really like about the Sun Silk product is the smell. As we women know, the way a hair product smells is almost as important as how it works. In my opinion Sun Silk De-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner is the best smelling hair product I have ever used. You know how you go to the salon and you get you hair washed and the smell of the shampoo is so amazing. The shampoo is so nice you plan on buying it until you see the hefty price labeled on the bottle. I have done this several times and never have I been able to bring myself to buy hair products in a salon, they are just too pricey for me. Sun Silk De-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner are less than a quarter of the price you would pay for designer salon shampoos and conditioners. At less than $4.50 a bottle in most places it's a very practical buy for the diva on a budget.

Some other features I like about the Sun Silk De-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner is the look and texture it gives my hair. My hair is shinny after use and the frizz is still their but is tamed a bit. I have moderately frizzy hair and I definitely see a difference when using this product. I'm sure someone with very frizzy hair will almost definitely see an improvement to their hair after use. However if the shampoo and conditioner aren't enough by themselves, Sun Silk also carries a leave in De-Frizz Cream. I have also used the cream and it does do the job it's intended to do however, I experienced some itching a few hours after using this product. I would only suggest using the leave in cream by Sun Silk if you desperately need it.

Not only have I used the Sun Silk De-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner but recently I have purchased Herbal Essences' Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner. When it comes to the smell of Herbal Essence products who could forget the funny somewhat uncomfortable commercials? In my opinion the Herbal Essence Hello Hydration system smelled good but not quite as good as the Sun Silk product. As far as price goes the Herbal Essence product was pricier, costing a little less than $7.00 per bottle but you got two times more product than the Sun Silk system offered. Making Herbal Essence at the very least more practical.

If I had to judge how the Herbal Essence Hello Hydration system worked for my hair I would have to say it worked about the same initially. Later I found as the day wore on I could feel the product not working for my hair. I could tell the humidity from living in South Florida had definitely taken a tole on my hair and the product. This product did not stand up to a full eight-hour day as the Sun Silk De-Frizz system had.

In my own personal opinion I would have to say that the Sun Silk De-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner definitely out de-frizzed the Herbal Essence Hello Hydration system. Not only did the Sun Silk product smell like top of the line, a salon product but it really did the job it said it would do. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who has had issues with frizzy hair. I'm a middle-aged gal with super-curly, prone to frizz hair. I have bought and tried so, so many shampoos (and conditioners) in the hope of finding something to make my wild hair manageable without having to pile on a gazillion post-shower products.

Shielo is excellent. Specifically, I buy the Hydrate Shampoo and the Hydrate Conditioner.

I find that it's easier to blow-dry and have the hair feel softer, sleeker, and less prone (though never NOT prone) to frizzing in humidity. (Granted, when you have mind-of-its-own hair, addig stuff like Paul Mitchell styling lotion and Biosilk just adds to the effectiveness of the Pantene products, I find. It all adds up to help manage the hard-to-manage.)
