You can choose from a wide array of choices: topical creams, antibiotics, laser treatments, and herbal treatments. If you want to learn more, there are hundreds of books that discuss acne and its possible solutions.
There is no conclusive explanation yet why acne happens but experts believe it has something to do with genetics, hormones, stress, and lifestyle. Acne usually occurs when a hair follicle is clogged with oil and dirt from the outer skin. When clogged, the bacteria inflame the follicle, causing it to erupt in lesions on the face, neck, arms, back, and chest.
If afraid or weary of using chemical treatments, you might want to try using herbal treatments. Herbal remedies have lesser known side effects compared to chemical based medication which often results in peeling, reddening, and inflammation of the skin.
A drawback in using herbal remedies however is that it's not regulated by government agencies. This simply means that many of the remedies are still untested and only a few have been clinically proven to work.
Tea tree oil is one of those remedies that were tested and was proven to be an effective acne treatment. Tea tree oil comes from the native Australian tree and works wonders for skin with acne. You only need a few drops of oil and apply it directly to the skin. You don't even have to buy an expensive cream with tea tree oil.
Another effective herbal remedy is the herbal green tea cream. This cream like the tea tree oil has anti bacterial properties. So far only two natural herbs have been proven to be effective in treating acne. Other herbal remedies might help in reducing the oil produced by sebaceous glands.
Continue to look out for wonderful herbal remedies in the market, as more and more tests are conducted everyday to find which herbs really work and don't.
Acne is a condition that should not be left alone. Try to treat it right away. With patience, determination and the right treatment, acne can be eliminated from your life.
