Herbal Treatment for Hemorrhoids

A. C. O'Brien
Hemorrhoids are out pouching in the small veins around the rectum. They are caused by constipation and sometimes by pregnancy. Some people experience hemorrhoids from sitting for too long. These same out pouched veins in our legs are called varicose veins.

There is easy, inexpensive relief from the torture of itching and burning, even slightly bleeding hemorrhoids. Can you drink one cup of tea a day? If you can, you could find easy inexpensive relief from the burning itchy torture of hemorrhoids.

Here is an easy and inexpensive solution. You will need to find some hawthorn berries (Crataegus oxyacantha), the berries should be easily available at your local health food store or you can find them to purchase on line. You might want to buy one of the existing tea blends that already contain hawthorn berries. One called Alpine Blossoms by "The Republic of Tea" is quite tasty. I am sure there are others that are equally good. You will not need many of the berries in your cup to make an effective remedy. You'll just need to add two or three berries to each cup of tea. Drink this tea once or twice a day for blessed relief. You should start to experience at least some improvement with in a day or two. With continued use you should be symptom free and happy in a week or two.

This is not a cure, it is a treatment. The advantage is that you can repeat the treatment as often as you need to or use it ongoing, long term.

There are precious few side effects, almost all of them are desirable:

1. + Your veins and arteries will have stronger walls, this is a good thing. Those newly strong walls will better able to flex to meet the needs of your body.

2. + Your blood pressure will enter into the normal range if it was high, another good thing.

3. + Drinking this delicious tea daily as a tonic can be a very healthy habit, enjoy it.

4. + Varicose veins in your legs will occur less frequently, and of course your bottom will feel better with out those nasty hemorrhoids.

5. + You have discovered another tasty tea additive.

6. - Some people with very delicate stomachs experience mild indigestion when using this treatment. If you are one of those unfortunates you might try taking the tea with a meal.

There is a world of herbal healing out there. We need to open our eyes and see what there is for us already on our earth before we go to the lab and generate even more toxic substances.

Feel better, stay healthy the natural way.

The only resource I used for this article was John Lust's The Herbal Book.

Most of the information here is gained from personal experience. I cross applied his information and expanded upon it using it when it could be helpful for my clients. The proof that I offer is that clients with whom I have worked have experienced relief of symptoms after using this product of nature.
I do not market this herb or any other. I receive no monies from any herb marketing company. If ,as John Lust advises, the herb is a strengthener of the walls of the circulatory system, it would follow that it would be good for hemorrhoids and other conditions that are due to a weakening of the walls of the veins and arteries.
