Herbs for Natural Healing

This article deals with herbs commonly used in alternative healing or alternative medicine. Traditional medicine uses chemical compounds (drugs) to heal people. These may be of natural origin but then after their discovery, they are chemically synthesized. Chemical drugs are known to have bad secondary effects that can be avoided by using natural products. In alternative medicine or alternative healing, it is very common to use herbs as medicine or as an aid to cure diseases.

Ginger is an herbal material used used in alternative healing for soothing digestive issues and problems, especially upset stomach after huge meals. Usually is taken as a tea. Ginger tea is also used for fighting colds.

Ginkgo Biloba is widely used in the US in alternative medicine. It has been used traditionally in China for thousands of years. It is mainly used for memory and brain function. Ginkgo Biloba is a potent antioxidant and
thus can help you fight aging and the effects of dangerous oxidation reactions that generate free-radicals.

Garlic is another herb commonly used in alternative healing. It is said that can help you with many ailments including acne and to reduce high cholesterol. This high antioxidant herb is also known to be antibacterial,
antioxidant, and an immune system booster.

Herbs commonly used in natural healing 4:Valerian
Valerian, also known as Valerian, and Valerian root, is a natural tranquilizer and nerve quieter. It is used to help you with anxiety and to help you get a good night sleep. This is another herbs commonly used in
alternative healing. Valerian can be taken as a tea or as an extract (liquid form) or in dietary pills.

Herbs commonly used in natural healing 5: Chamomile
Chamomile is another soothing herb. It is also a natural anti-inflammatory herb. It is mainly used for calming abdominal pain and inflammation. Tea preparations are available and are the prevalent form of use for chamomile. A soothing tea of chamomile great to relax and have a good night sleep.
