Sharon Morris
Bipolar disorder is a mental condition in which a person has frequent mood swings. They go from depressed to feeling good in a short time. Mood swings are not only awful for the person going through them but are also awful for family members who live with the bipolar patient.

I suffer from bipolar disorder and it is a terrible mental condition. Without the right medication, I have bad mood swings. One day I can be so depressed that I feel nothing will ever get better and the next day I can feel so good and confident about myself that I feel nothing can stop me.

I am on prescription medication for bipolar disorder and the pills do help, but not always. I still have mood swings and lately I have been feeling really depressed. I have had to change medications many times and I feel I may have to again. This is why I have decided to check into herbal remedies to treat bipolar disorder. I know I cannot quit taking my prescription medication without first talking to my doctor but it does not hurt to try something different and natural. Who knows, these natural herbs may help me feel better and writing this article may help someone else feel better too.
