1) Remember what the gas prices were before the war in Iraq? Does $1.50 ring any bells?
2) Remember what the gas prices were before Hurricane Katrina? Does $1.75 sound familiar? We have been lied to! There was minimal damage from the hurricane which was repaired - NO PRICE DROP THOUGH, Gas prices remain high and everybody thinks there is nothing we can do. WRONG! There is something we can do, something big, something that will work, something that will get prices back down! We have power in numbers, we have to act together, just two simple things will correct this situation:
***Make it known that you will refuse to vote for any incumbent ( a person currently voted into office) if the gas prices don't return to $1.50 and the heads of the gas companies aren't imprisoned for profiteering. This means send a letter or email to some or all of your elected officials and tell them you will vote them out of office if these two things don't happen.
***Next send this to as many people as you can, and let them know this is your plan of action, and if they will do the same in three or four weeks gas prices will no longer be $2.60 but back to a $1.50 and it won't happen again because the bad guys who have been milking us will be in jail! Just do it and see what happens, it is easier than paying $60 or $80 every time you fill up.
Dear Elected Representative: Please be advised that if gas prices are not returned to $1.50 a gallon and the heads of the profiteering gas companies are not jailed, then you can be assured that I will be voting for all NEW elected officials! It is your Job - do the right thing or lose it! Gas prices in China are less than $1.50 / Gal - Consider Nationalizing The Gas Companies!
The price of gas is hurting us all! You are very wrong if you think that the only difference to you is what you spend to fill your gas tank, that is only the visible cost you see, the far greater cost is the fact every thing you buy is dependent on gas prices from distribution to manufacturing ! THINK about how the doubling of those costs is going to affect you, groceries, clothes, anything you buy will be going up. Is your boss going to give you a raise just to cover Oil Company profiteering? News papers last week buried the fact that the Oil Companies are scaling back plans to expand oil refineries. I guess they are comfortable with the fact you are going to fight. Prove them wrong - copy and send this to every one you know and have them do the same.

Post a CommentI did not realise that petrol prices were $1.50 a gallon prior to the war in Iraq. Try the equivalent of $6 a gallon in the UK! Sorry to say, but America has it easy in comparison!
