Here I Sit: A Poem

Scott Bauer
Here I sit

A mockery of the times

Once removed from society's brainwash

A renegade in the system

A virus

The truth vision

Some think - even say - they see the big picture

This may be fact

But their vast panorama is but a snapshot

In the view of it all that has been cursed upon me.

It twists me to react strangely from the norm

To behave irrationally from the standard

To make mistakes of failures

Everyone takes what someone else says as fact

Irrevocable, irrefutable, undeniably truthful

Content, they are with this belief. Not I.

For it is the most believable belief of all

More so than any religion, more so than any other

The belief of a society that will not believe its government

But is that all?

No

But is it the truth.

Surmise
