A Serious Candidate at this Web Site
The main stream media has been dismissing Herman Cain as a fringe candidate. At this web site , however, he was always seen as a serious candidate who could relate to the American People. We began by analyzing his strengths and weaknesses, noted that he did well in the early debates, and continued to follow his campaign. Later, he was the only Republican candidate with the courage to take an interview with radio talk show host Michael Savage.
Gaining Momentum
On September 24, Cain recorded his first major victory in Florida. In a straw poll Cain received 37 percent of the 2,657 votes, while Governor Perry received just 15 percent and Governor Romney received just 14 percent.
In late September, a SurveyUSA poll of Florida Republicans showed Cain surging. Cain trailed Governor Romney by a slim margin of only 27 to 25 percent, which amounts to a statistical tie.
The first weekend in October was huge for the candidate. He handily won a straw poll taken at the National Federation of Republican Women's convention in Kansas City. Cain receive 48.9 percent of the votes and trounced second place finisher Governor Rick Perry of Texas who received just 14.1 percent.
Cain then overwhelmed all of his competition in a straw poll of activists at the Midwest Tea Party Convention in Schaumburg, Illinois. Cain was the only candidate with enough common sense to recognize the importance of the event and actually show up. Cain received an astonishing 77 percent of the vote. Congresswoman Michelle Bachman, who addressed the group with a prerecorded message finished a distant second.
Head to Head Against Obama
A new Rasmussen Reports poll has Cain trailing President Obama by just five percentage points in a head-to-head election. Governor Romney was the only Republican candidate to finish ahead of Cain as he trailed Obama by just two points.
Cain Overtakes Romney
A Newsmax/InsiderAdvantage poll shows businessman and radio talk host Herman Cain has taken the lead from former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. The poll was takes on October 4 and shows Cain leading Romney 26 percent to 24 percent. The poll has a margin of error of 4.4 percent.
Several other polls show similar results. Cain is considered the grass roots front runner while Romney is considered the establishment Republican choice.
Economic Recovery Plan
Jobs and the economy are the keys to this election, and Herman Cain takes a common sense approach to the issue which people appreciate. Cain recently announced his economic recovery plan known as the 9-9-9 plan. Under the plan, corporate and individual income taxes would be cut to 9 percent and a new 9 percent national sales tax would be implemented. Cain's campaign suddenly caught fire when this plan was announced.
