For those of you unfamiliar with the show it's about people living with extraordinary abilities and they deal with it. Their abilities mysteriously appear after an eclipse. Some of these people have taken the good side while others have taken the evil. Their moral judgement is always being tested. One season after another the heroes try to save the world from apocolyptic catastrophes and struggle with their own personal problems.
Here's a run down of the show's characters.
Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose) is the matriarch of the Petrelli family. She has the ability to see the future in her dreams.
Arthur Petrelli (Robert Forster) was Angela's husband. He was thought to be dead but was discovered to be alive for a brief period but was killed in the same season. His ability was being able to steal peoples' powers through touch.
Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar) is the eldest son of the Petrelli family. He was a U.S. senator. His ability is flying. He's the biological father of Claire Bennet.
Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) is the youngest of the Petrelli family. He's a hospice nurse and his ability is being able to touch people and steal their ability.
Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) is the only main character without powers. He's the adopted father of Claire and he usually spends his time capturing people with abilities.
Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) is a young college girl. Her ability is being able to regenerate. Her biological mom is Meredith who could create and control fire and her biological father is Nathan.
Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) can travel through space and time. His father Kaito was CEO of Yamagato Industries in Tokyo. His mother had the ability to heal. Both are dead now.
Ando (James Kyson Lee) is Hiro's best friend/partner. Last season he obtained his own ability as a super charger.
Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) is a LAPD cop. He started with having the ability to read minds now it's manifested into him being able to make people see and think whatever he wants. In season 3 he learned he had a son with a power.
Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is the son of Dr. Chandra Suresh. Him and his father or geneticists. His father was killed by Sylar. Mohinder started with no abilities but injected himself with a formula and now he has super strength.
Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey) aka Rebel is an orphan. He has the ability to tell computers what to do. His father was D.L. and could walk through walls. His mother was Niki, she was super strong.
Tracy Strauss (Ali Larter) is in politics. She has the ability to freeze things. She was born a triplet. Her sisters are Barbara and Nicole (Ni ki). Nicole is Micah's mom and she is dead. Barbara has never been seen. Last season she was supposedly killed.
Sylar (Zachary Quinto) is dead, sort of. He had the ability to want to find out how people worked. Through seasons one, two and three he killed almost everyone he could. He would cut their skull open and take their abilities. He can now shape shift, regenerate, and had telekinesis powers along with many other things.
Season 3 ended with Nathan, Peter, Angela, Claire, and Noah coming in agreement to start a new company. The company will find people with abilities, help the people that need to be helped and lock up the people who are a danger to society. There have been two companies, Pinehearst and Primatech, that have tried to succeed in doing this but both have failed.
The twist to the end of season 3 were the deaths of Sylar and Nathan. Instead of letting Nathan die Angela, his mother, has Matt take all of Nathan's memories and puts them into Sylar. This unltimately turns Sylar into Nathan. Nathan just has no idea who he really is!
This season the characters will be dealing with the issue of either hiding their powers or making it known who they really are. With awards and nominations from the Primetime Emmy awards, Golden Globe awards, People's Choice awards, and BAFTA, Heroes will return with a witty ever evolving story line and an impressive cast that will be sure to please.
