In the episode we are introduced to several new genetic mutations. One of these people is the man representing the company who contacts Dr. Suresh; his ability is to change things into gold which he demonstrates with his spoon. Another new character is Wes, who Claire meets in her new school, he is suspicious of her and at the end of the episode we learn that he has the ability to fly, though Claire does not yet know this. Some more new characters are Alejandro and Maya are two fugitives wanted for murder who are running from the law trying to escape to America. It is not clear what Maya's power is but we know she kills a truck full of people and feels bad about it saying she didn't mean to. They are trying to get to New York to get help for Maya.
Of course the show must end with a suspenseful moment, so as the show ends we learn that Dr. Suresh and Claire's dad are working together to bring down the company and Suresh is just setting them up. Then a man in a hood tackles Hiro's father off a building just as Ando arrives with a sword to defend them from the murderer. The final suspenseful scene of the episode begins with three men in Ireland looking for a shipment of iPods; instead they find Peter Petrelli who seems to have no recollection of who he is or how he got to where he is. Then the episode ends in the same way they always do to be continued...
The season is just beginning, the success of the show in its first season is continuing this year. Many people are hooked and can't wait to see what will happen next. The suspenseful element of the show keeps people coming back and the semi-realistic feeling of the show allows people to feel that they could be a part of the show. The return of the show for a second season proves it has lasting power and many fans hope to keep it on the air for years to come.
