Heroes Spoilers and Theories: NBC's Hit Show Returns April 23 with a Bang - Literally

Carey
When we last saw our intrepid heroes, the proverbial you-know-what had hit the fan. Sylar (Zach Quinto) had used his powers to not only pin a seriously injured Mohinder to the ceiling of his apartment, but was also using his powers to start performing a labatomy on Peter (Milo Ventimiglia). HRG (Jack Coleman) had his memory wiped of daughter Claire'special abilities and his deception had been discovered by his boss. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) ditched her protector, known right now as the Haitian, and traveled to New York looking for Peter (the one person she felt understood by) only to discover that her biological grandmother had hired the Haitian to look after Claire and that she knew about Claire's special abilities. Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) had a very interesting meeting not only with Niki (Ali Larter) with Mr. Linderman (played by Malcolm MacDowell) who told him that within two years time he'd be in the White House and a heartbeat away from the presidency. And last, but not least, Hiro and Ando escaped from Las Vegas via Hiro's time warping abilities and landed in a future where New York had already been destroyed.

With still over a month before the next new episode will air...many fans have been hungering to know what's going to happen. The following spoilers (this is your warning if you don't want to know) have been collected from various sites and sources on the internet:

1) The next episode will start right where the last left off. Nathan will continue his discussion with Linderman, and viewers will learn much about this mysterious man...such as his superpower, how he used to be a "hero" and that he is responsible for the chain of events that will lead to the explosion in New York...something he wants to happen. Seems Linderman feels that this will bring the nation together and that Nathan needs to be in the White House

2) We will see where our heroes are in future that Hiro and Ando have traveled to- about five years from now. Greg Grunberg ("Matt Parkman") has said his character will be in a very dark place. There will be a winner in the Niki/Jessica battle for control, and it appears that Nathan will indeed be in the White House.

3) Sylar will eat the brain of a hero with a very important power in the season finale that will have implications for season 2 (recall if you will Hiro's first trip to the future and the recent painting that Issac finished)

4) Sylar will get pushed out of a window and appear to die, but as he is returning for season 2, the death doesn't seem likely to stick

5) Peter will get his scar and possibly a very drastic hair cut.

6) The relationship between Niki/Jessica and Nathan will take an interesting turn and more revelations will come out about Nathan's marriage

7) The following is a transcript of a scene from the next episode (entitled ".07%") courtesy of www.ComicBookResources.com: " 'It is your destiny, Nathan, to be the leader who uses this event to rally a city, a nation, a world,' Linderman continues. And to drive the point home, Linderman unveils a prophetic painting of Nathan Petrelli in the Oval Office, seemingly painted by Isaac Mendez.

'If you know all this, you also know the exploding man is my brother Peter,' Nathan says.

'As I said, we all have our role to play. Peter's curtain call will come the day after you're elected.' "

As season one comes to a close, the producers have promised shocks and awes that will lead up and into season 2 and so far the shocks have been numerous and awesome. My theory? The "bomb" will indeed go off. Remember, future Hiro never told Peter to stop the bomb, he merely instructed him to "Save the cheerleader, save the world." We've all assumed that saving the world meant stopping the explosion, but perhaps there are some events that can't be stopped, no matter what foreknowledge we might have. Perhaps the heroes were only meant to know of the explosion so that they would be prepared for what would come after that.

As for those deaths? Mohinder is most likely a goner, as is Issac. Because of season 2 spoilers, Sylar, Hiro, Peter, Claire, Nathan and Matt will most likely survive to the next season. But, as this show is known for taking what we think we know and turning it upside down, we'll have to tune in to see for sure. "Heroes" returns April 23rd.
