Enter Hershey's Special Dark Pieces. These little dark chocolate candies are wrapped in a hard candy shell, which means that even if they get a bit too warm on the shelf they will not melt together into a giant blob--an essential feature of the go-to candy set, for this is something you want to keep on hand but out of sight until that urge hits, and when it does you don't want to encounter a mess!
They come in small bite-sized pieces, meaning that you can eat just one or two--or ten--to satisfy that sweet craving without worry that you are eating too much. You can treat each craving as an individual event and eat just enough to satisfy you.
They are very sweet, without being overly so. This gives them the ability to satisfy in smaller amounts when compared to candy bars and other treats, but they are not sweet enough to give you that unpleasant "too sweet" sensation.
They are packaged in resealable 10.5 ounce bags. That is a lot of candy packed in a small amount of space; when used on an as-craved basis a single bag has personally lasted this chocoholic for approximately a month. At a current price of less than $3 a bag this can add up to a significant savings for the dedicated chocolate lover.
I tried this product in my search of the ideal treat to keep on hand to satisfy those late night cravings; something small, reasonably priced and "just" sweet enough. I was very satisfied with not only the price, but the sweetness, quantity and quality of these Hershey's Special Dark Pieces. While I plan to explore the other sweets that Hershey has made available in this line, this one particular candy may just become my standby when those late night cravings hit.
If you are looking for a sweet to keep stashed away to handle those insane cravings that come at odd hours, consider trying a bag of Hershey's Special Dark Pieces. They are small, easily hidden away from the kids who would devour them and just sweet enough to tackle your sweet tooth without adding a lot of calories to your day.
