Heterosexual Marriage Vs.Homosexual Marriage

Should Gays Be Allowed to Marry?

A Disturbed Mind Speaks!
Should gay people have the right to marry? Many say that marriage is a sacred thing. A lot of people say we shouldn't allow them to marry because it would desecrate the sanctity of marriage. They feel homosexuality is an abomination. I feel that everyone is entitled to their opinion and with that said I will give mine.

If you ask me if gays should be able to marry I'd say yes. Wondering why?Well first things first a persons orientation is their business. What ever it is it does not make them any less of a person wheather I agree with it or not! For exactly the same reason that they are no less of a person they should not have less rights. Homosexuality is an abomination to many people. Gays are treated like lepers by many. Like if homosexuality is some kind of infectious disease that can be contained by isolation. I could easily think of a million things that are more revolting than homosexuality.

I think that maybe at some point in the past marriage was a sacred thing. Now marriage is some kind of joke. Gays don't desecrate the sanctity of marriage. You want to talk about abomination and desecration of the sanctity of marriage lets start by talking about how heterosexuals make shows like who wants to marry a millionare, the bachelor and the bachelorete to name a few. These shows display an appalling account of how heterosexuals practically whore themselves out. Men and woman displaying themselves like they are at some kind of meat auction or something trying to get bought by the highest bidder. 20 men,1 woman, and 9 weeks to pick one man to get married with. After you have been intimate with about half of them in that short a period with me knowing what makes you think I would want to be with you. At that point you become like the left over unwanted scraps that you give to the dog because there not even good enough to offer to a friend. It's horrible how they demoralize love and marriage.

Marriage is supposed to be a union of two people who love each other who will continue to live life as one. I admit these days times are hard. Love isn't the one and only thing that you look for in a companion before taking that big step. Financial security is very important also sometimes more so than love. Sadly marriage has become a financial safety net. We all know that love doesn't pay the rent. Many people would never get married if they absolutely didn't have to just to ensure some form of security for their families. For example you could love someone,be together many years and have children but because you are not married you can not even offer medical coverage for your partner. Even more sad is that in the event that you die unless you have a will or your partner is the beneficiary your companion is left with nothing. On top of them being left with nothing they also have to manage to find a way to bury you and continue to provide for the family that is left behind without help from you. Unless you are doing well financially marrying your loved one is a way to protect your family financially. I think that every one should have the right to protect their loved ones straight or gay.

I personally think that heterosexuals are more likely to desecrate the sanctity of marriage. For gays it would be a privilege that I think they would not take for granted as easily as straight people do. The Declaration of Independence says and I'm paraphrasing all men are created equal and that we have unalienable rights some being life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. Now if we say that gays can't marry are we not infringing their civil rights. Protection from discrimination based on gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, etc. Gays are people too and as such they have the right to all the same liberties we have with the right to the persuit of happiness without discrimination based on our sexual orientation. I guess what I am trying to say is that this nation has come a long way. Our nation was built on the belief of equality for everyone and desire for freedom from oppression and tyranny. If we continue to discriminate and oppress our own people are we not the same as the tyrants who are forefathers fought against to ensure the liberties and freedoms that we have today.

  • homosexuals are people too
  • everyone should have the right to protect their loved ones and family
  • someones rights shouldn't be any less then ours because of their sexual orientation
people forget to focus on the person because we are too busy worring what they do behind closed doors

marriage really seems to be between a man and a woman for procreational reasons. Many feel its the anatomically correct as wiley vaughn seems to think, but these days marriage is also about security for your loved ones when you are gone not just love anymore.I think that everyone should have that right to secure their loved ones regardless of gender so long as they are of the same species lol. seriously i see everyone's point of view and religious views but we have to look beyond our religious beliefs being against gay marriage is the same as the people who were against woman's rights for equality, slavery and other forms of racism and discrimination.i i am a believer of abortion under the right circumstances of rape, deformaties and things like that and many say ill go to hell im a supporter of baby killers. People judge and don't help ok so if not marriage then maybe another way that they can provide the same benefits of security for a loved one.times are changing and i say who am i to s

yes it is sad how much marriage has gone down the crapper today, but allowing gay marriage would just ruin it even more and then people will want marriage between humans and animals claiming its a "civil right". allowing gay marriage will set off a chain of events and ruin marriage even more.
