Three Men and a Baby - If you're looking for great movies to play at your New Year's Eve 2010 party to keep your guests laughing the old year away, check out one of the most patient babies on this list: the poor little love child left on the doorstep of a group of NYC bachelors. Through many misadventures involving drug dealers and the befuddling body functions of a baby, the bachelors grow attached to her, and eventually end up with living arrangements perfect for the three men, the baby, and her mother. So hopefully your new year turns out just as great in the end as one of the most hilarious movies about babies for New Year's 2010.
Rosemary's Baby - This is one of the best movies about babies for New Year's Eve 2010 for those who believe the end is near, and while we don't get to see much of the young Antichrist here, it's the circumstances surrounding his birth that make this one of the most terrifying movies about babies you'll ever see. So for guys trying to keep a baby off the brain of your New Year's Eve date for one more year, this is one of the best baby movies for you to play at your 2010 New Year's Eve party.
Look Who's Talking - With a cute wise-cracking baby being born at the beginning of one of the most popular movies about babies, this is a perfect movie for a New Year's Eve 2010 party: it starts at the beginning of one year (with a birth) and ends at the beginning of another year (with another birth). The Kirstie Alley and John Travolta love story is cute, and it's fun to see the world through the eyes of baby Mikey (this is also one of the best New Year's Eve 2010 baby movies for giving hope to single moms making resolutions to find new fathers for their own little Mikeys in the New Year).
Baby Boom - What happens when the "Tiger Lady" inherits a cub? Her whole married-to-her work lifestyle comes to a complete halt. This is one of the best movies about babies for those making New Year's Eve resolutions for 2010 about completely turning their lives around and finding a new reason for living, as Diane Keaton's character does just that. So if you're looking for great inspirational movies for your New Year's 2010 party, this is one of the best baby movies out there for inspiring real change (through changing diapers).
Raising Arizona - This is probably my favorite of the movies about babies on this on this list, a hilarious Coen brothers film about what happens when a couple (Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter) get extremely desperate to have a baby. They decide to kidnap one of the "Arizona Quints", thinking the family has more than it can handle, but by kidnapping Nathan Jr., they put his little life at risk from more than one bad guy. It's one of the slightly darker funny baby movies on this list, but one of the best for entertaining guests at your 2010 New Year's Eve party.
Labyrinth - This funky Jim Henson masterpiece featuring stunning visuals and some of the most frightening muppets you'll ever see (and David Bowie as the bad guy!) is one of the best movies about babies for watching with your family on New Year's Eve 2010. When a girl's baby brother is kidnapped by the Goblin King, she must enter into a frightening other-worldly maze in order to save him. This cult classic is one of the best baby movies for families to watch together, as it might inspire older siblings to make New Year's resolutions about how they treat the younger ones in 2010.
Willow - And here's another of the best fantasy movies that centers around a very important baby. In this Tolkien-esque tale, the baby is one from a prophecy: a girl that will grow up and usurp the power of an evil queen. The queen fears the child, and her mother, knowing that she would have her killed, sends her baby out with a midwife to find protection for her. This is where Willow, the unlikely little hobbit-like hero, comes in. He ultimately finds her after the midwife is killed, and he, along with a few newfound friends, go on a quest to protect the baby girl from the evil queen. It's one of the most epic movies about a baby you'll ever see, with plenty of sorcery, curious creatures, and meddling monsters. It's another of the movies about babies here that has become a cult classic, and it and 'Labyrinth' would make a great New Year's Eve 2010 double feature for the whole family.
Knocked Up - This is one of the best movies about a baby for those whose last year hasn't been so good and are hoping the new one will be better. Think of the beginning of 'Knocked Up' about a life falling apart due to the news of an unexpected pregnancy as the bad year and the happy ending involving the birth of the baby as the beginning of a great new one, starting with your 2010 New Year's Eve party featuring fresh and funny movies like this one.
The Hangover - Okay, so this is one of the movies here that doesn't center on a baby or a birth, but since it features one of the best baby movie mysteries you'll ever see (by that I mean the guys at a bachelor party find a baby in their hotel room and have no idea where it came from), and since the scenes involving the baby are so hilarious (being strapped to Zack Galifianakis' belly and wearing a large pair of sunglasses), this is one of the movies featuring a baby that I had to put on this list. Plus it's one of the funniest movies of 2009, making it perfect to play at a 2010 New Year's Eve party to keep your guests entertained.
Waitress - This is another of the more modern best baby movies, a tale about the trials and tribulations of a waitress (and great pie cook) that becomes pregnant with an unwanted child. It's a great New Year's lesson about taking the sour grapes that may be thrown at you in the coming year and turning them into a delicious pie. So for one of the best New Year's Eve 2010 movies for entertaining guests with one of the baby movies they probably haven't seen, this delicious slice of life is one of your best bets.
2010 will introduce us to a whole new slew of baby movies, including 'Babies', 'Little Fockers', 'The Back-Up Plan', and 'The Baster', but for now, from serious baby movies to funny movies featuring babies in a variety of silly situations, celebrate New Year's Eve 2010 with some of the best movies about new beginnings.
