Hey Politicians, Xtine Says "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" and See What Health Care is like "Across the Universe"

When Music Mingles with Politics

Christine Lorraine
Our country's health care situation is like "Bad Medicine." If legislators dared to "Walk A Mile In My Shoes," they might have different "Feelings" about the pending controversial health care law. They might "Jump" and suffer a "Heart Attack" when they scrutinize the "Bill" showing how much it'll cost "In The Year 2525."

If I said "Doctor Doctor," would you "See Me Feel Me" before you "Bend Me Shape Me," he might instruct me to "Hit The Road Jack" when he learns I don't have health insurance. Before, when I was "Down And Out," suffering from "Catscratch Fever," my physician said I should "Walk Don't Run" to the nearby ER. By the time I arrived "In The Middle Of The Night," I began "Feelin' Alright," so I thought I'd "Walk Away." But then I saw "They're Coming To Take Me Away," so I opted to "Runaway" although doing so made me feel like the "Coward of the County."

At that moment, I collapsed from a "Total Eclipse of the Heart," and the next thing I knew, I was asking two EMTs, "Baby Baby Can't You Hear My Heart Beat?"

One of the EMTs answered that my heart was pumping to a "Fascinatin' Rhythm," and that I needed to "Lay Down" because "No Matter What You Do" today's "Weird Science" can be counted on to "Help" in "Urgent" situations.

I was completely "Shattered" when the "Tobacco Road" medical center "Signs" stated that although I could be treated, I might be forced to lose "Our House In The Middle Of Our Street." This knowledge was a real "Heartbreaker," and even though I assured myself "I Will Survive," I was frustrated enough to "Shout" because of my lack of health care coverage.

"Wouldn't It Be Lovely" if we all owned the exact same health care policies that our legislators enjoy? It is very difficult to decide "Where Do We Go From Here" because our nation's new health care structure will force "Everyday People" to buy into it "Sooner Or Later." In the meantime, insurance rates and hospital fees keep getting "Higher and Higher," and we're spiraling into a state of health care "Confusion."

In conclusion, I'll say "Goodbye To You" and offer these words of wisdom: Considering our national health care debacle, it's understandable if you "Don't Fear The Reaper."
