Hi, My Name is Jacob

Hello everyone that may or may not read this. My name is Jacob and I am only 4 years old. I really like my life, I play with my brother Robby alot, we play army and guns, and go swimming in summer time. The other day my daddy took us to the woods and it was a lot of fun. Though I won't tell my daddy, I was scared when we saw a deer. That's why I never let go of his hand. My daddy tells me he won't let nuthin hurt me. He even gave me a dragon to protect me from the bees that sting me. Know what, I haven't been stung by a bee since he gave it to me.

I remember a long long time ago, my mommy and daddy used to live together. Me and my brother Robby used to live with them. I don't remember much but I know they used to yell a lot. I remember they both used to hug me and tell me they love me and they were sorry they were yelling. One day their yelling stopped, and we didn't live together no more. I didn't see my daddy for a long long time. He came to pick me and Robby up one time, and all he did was cry. He told me he really missed me and my brother Robby and my mommy. He said he was sorry. I didn't know what for, I just knew my mommy and daddy weren't yelling no more.

I don't live with my mommy and daddy now. I have two homes, my mommy and daddy tell me I'm really lucky because I have two houses filled with people that love me. Some kids only get one. I think they are right. WHenever I am at my mom house I have all kinds of people I play with. My mommy plays games with me, and we wrestle and she makes me laugh sometimes where I almost pee my pants!! My brother Robby and I have our own beds, mine is Wall-E. I love Wall-E, though not as much as Toy Story! Buzz Lightyear is my favorite. I watch a lot of Diego and DOra, and I help them out when they are saving the animals. My mommy says I do a good job. Theres no yelling. except for when I lie, then I get in trouble because my mommy and my daddy both tell me lying is wrong and I shouldn't do it. My mommy hugs and kisses someone whos not my daddy and that's ok, because she tells me she loves him and he makes her smile. I like to see my mommy smile. Shes adorable sometimes!

I'm really lucky because when I stay at my dads house I get to see my grandma and my grandpa at the same time. My daddys house is so much fun, because we get to swim and make cookies, and play xbox and watch cartoons. Sometimes even though my daddy says he shouldn't he lets me and my brother Robby stay up way way so so late and watch scary movies with him. This one time we watched this one where a huge dino was trying to eat these little kids, I was scared so I had to sit on my daddys lap. It made me feel safe, MY daddys like super hero, he always tells me he won't let nuthin hurt me.

The other night I started to think about when my mommy and daddy used to yell and scream. I heard my grandma and grandpa doing it. I was scared. I never heard them yell before. I didn't know if they were mad at me, or if RObby was staying up to late again. My daddy came and sat with us in our bedroom. He thought I was asleep but I wasn't. The yelling was to loud. I heard him talking to us when they were yelling in the other room.

My daddy said this...

"I'm doing whatever I can to protect you guys. One day soon I'm going to have to tell you the truth.I'm going to have to tell your your grandparents are getting a divorce, and your lives are going to change again soon. It's not fair to you guys because even though you are so young you have been through so much. Your parents are allready divorced and now your grandparents will too. I don't know what's going to happen, I don't know if they will lose the house. I just know things will be different, and I swear to you guys I will do whatever I can to make this easy on you. I don't want you guys to ever doubt that we all love you. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you guys safe. I love you both."

After that my daddy kissed me and I fell asleep. I don't really know what he meant. I just know I like my daddys house. I like my grandma and grandpa and daddy and everyone living here sometimes. It's so much fun. I love my daddy and he loves me. I love my mommy too and she loves me. I hope things stay the same even though my daddy says they will be different, I don't want to have to go to a different house to see my grandma and grandpa, I like it here. I hope things always stay the same. I have to go now, my daddy says he will ride around the block with me. He's super fast so I better hurry.
