Our Mazda MPV mini van over heated and blew the head gaskets after we had Hi-tech Automotive replace our radiator, fan clutch, and power steering belt for some $720.00 on June 4. Not even two days later we were driving, and all of a sudden the car broke down again! Just two days after we paid $720.00 to fix it. It turns out that, when he returned the Mazda with a new radiator, new fan clutch and a new power steering belt that he had not checked the other belts to make sure that they were in good condition! We had only driven 41 miles before a second belt had broken causing the new radiator and both head gaskets to blow! Then he said that we needed to replace the top end of the engine. We expected the radiator to be covered under their warranty when the $720.00 was paid and a 6 month/ 6,000 mile warranty was given, but Hi-tech said they would not be covering the radiator under warranty, even though it was partially their fault too!
Any car repair service I have ever been to has checked out everything under the hood that needs to be checked, even with just a very simple service, and they would let me know if anything else needed to be done. In my opinion, the way that Hi-tech handles these matters is plain unprofessional, and untrustworthy.
Hi-Tech did not stand behind or even attempt to stand behind any part of the written warranty of parts and labor (6 months or 6,000 miles which ever comes first). This act misrepresents their repairs and written contract to any customer is outrageous. This place is a rip off and I will never go back, nor recommend anyone else ever go there.
