Hidden Secret to Buying Online for Cheap

You'll Never Turn Back

Ever wish you could get something for less? As technology increases so do the tag prices, which can be hard for the average person to afford or warrant the pricey purchase. Is there a way to purchase modern advanced products without worrying where the rent money will come from next month? There's a way and you might just be surprised at what you can purchase for much less than the average suggested market retail price. Discounted items are just a click away and here is how to find the great deals on some of the hottest products on the market today.

A few years back while still living on a college students' sparse income, I had a problem occur with my personal laptop computer. Basically it fried itself and kissed death on the forehead one day right before finals week. If you have ever been a student, you will know how stressful this time in a student's life is and to have ones' personal computer die all of a sudden is comparable to a natural disaster. Even though I had backed up most of my written final papers, there were some that were lost in action. Still through my gritted teeth I tell you that I was never able to get back some of my written material from my beloved but still fried HP laptop computer. It was time for another laptop and fast as I had less than one week before final written papers were due to be graded.

Even though my natural instincts were to yell at every HP employee due to my previous fried HP laptop, I returned to HP for another computer. I got a hold of a nice customer service representative from India who was able to tell me about the current promotions and available products. For my miniscule budget, the representative introduced me to the wonderful world of refurbished products. This was a new term to me and to many of you out there still today.

Refurbished products are greatly misunderstood among many people so I would like to educate everyone to this new concept of buying quality products without having to break the bank. Dictionary.com suggests that refurbished means, "to furbish again; renovate; brighten". What many consumers do not understand is that refurbished does not always mean that a product was a returned item that was damaged or proven to not work correctly. This is wrongly justifying the sale of refurbished items. I have been told on numerous occasions that a lot of products are:

*From stores that found the boxing to have been tampered with during transportation

*Defective during the production line and later renovated to work 100%

*Returned from a customer that did not want the product

*Returned due to a malfunction but repaired to work 100% as brand new

*Slightly scratched

If you have no problem not knowing the previous history of the product, I highly suggest trying out refurbished items that are sold at many locations online and sometimes in retail stores. All refurbished items have been checked and/or repaired by the main manufacturer and many come with warranties similar to the brand new items. Manufacturers have separate facility personal to directly work on returned or malfunctioning products; some of you might even have a repaired product that you do not know. For instance, upon a factory tour of BMW's plant in North Carolina, the tour guide explained that all newly finished vehicles are taken through a special quality assurance process. If any of these vehicles are found to have a defect, the repair specialists take over the car and repair anything that is not working correctly. The vehicles are then sent to either the customer or to the purchasing dealer unknowingly. The tour guide mentioned that these repairs are never mentioned to the customer at any time as the vehicle leaves the lot working 100%. This is the same process that a refurbished item goes through also.

So where do you purchase refurbished items? A few years ago there were fewer locations that had refurbished items but I have found many new locations that are dealing with this sort of discounted product available for sale. Most refurbished items are found online however many can be found in stores as long as you ask a representative personally about any refurbished items. Some of the stores that I have purchased refurbished items are from:

*EBay: modern technology such as gaming consoles

*Game Stop: modern technology such as gaming consoles and games

*Target: iPods, televisions and computers

*Sam's Club: Computers, televisions, and other products

*HP: Computers, Printers and other computer associated products

*Dyson: Vacuums and other associated accessories

If you are seeking to purchase a product but wish to save a little money it is not a crime to purchase refurbished. My family tends to ask about refurbished items before actually asking about other brand new products. As with my HP computer that I purchased in college, I have found that it was the perfect solution and I have never wished I did not purchase a brand new product for much more than the refurbished one; in fact, I am still using the same computer today. We have purchased a large amount of refurbished products and have never had to return any of them to the manufacturer for repair. Buy refurbished today and you might be surprised at the savings. Additionally you can feel good about your purchase for the "green factor" that is associated with buying a "re-used" product that might have been trashed if not refurbished. It is a win-win situation!
