I walk by the window
I thought I saw reflections
Of someone I used the know
Once our dreams we had
And now they're gone
So I hide away
Summer . . . soon the leaves will be falling
Oh mother, I miss you now
Why did it end that way?
I wanna cry
But I just hide away
Hide away
Away from the pain
Hide away
It's all part of the game
Hide away
Oh I need to know why
We said it all
Before the fall
But we never said goodbye
Look at me now
It's cold in the shadows
Though I shed a tear
Now and then
Oh Lord,
Won't you help me please?
To cry again
Just to cry again
And not to hide away

The emotion of the song is hope slipping away.

Post a CommentThis makes me think of the Prodigal Son and that God is always willing and able to receive a wayward son or daughter. I have been in this same boat and came to the end of my rope. And there waiting for me was God...all along. Great song! :-)
So very sad but at the same time beautiful - I've found myself in this situation and am thankful I was able to cry out to God for help.
Very sad. thanks for sharing.
How sad.... I hope that's not a part of your memory bank....
Sweet, sad memories.
