Recent developments in the HID xenon industry have made HID Xenon headlights for cars affordable to every one. Previously HID headlights were extremely expensive, to the tune of $600 or so. That's a lot of money for most people and that's why it's taken a while for them to really catch on. But now you can find them as inexpensive as $65 with the same quality as the HID lights that are put into top luxury vehicles. New cars are now coming standard with HID lights and old cars are being upgraded because the conversion is simple. The main reason HID lights are becoming so popular is because they are much safer than normal headlights that use halogens as the source instead of xenon. Inside the headlight is an electric arc that generates a light source and heat which turns xenon gas along with metal particles in the bulb into a plasma that shines very bright. Besides being bright, the color can be controlled too. Not only are HID xenon lights much safer, because they increase visibility dramatically, but they'˜re also sexy. They look good, very good. You can get hid xenon lights in multiple colors. The standard is white but there are also blue, purple and yellow, for fog lights. Most counties in the U.S. have rules and regulations against HID lights but there's no way to try and police it and most police officers don't know the legislature so they don't bother. But to play it safe you should get white because that's what most people have. Blue isn't too loud but purple might get you pulled over. Typically a fix-it ticket, you should be able to just swap out another colored bulb if you needed to get an officer to sign off on a fix-it ticket.Xenon lights look great on show cars too and old schools. Have you every seen a classic old school like a Mustang or Chevelle with xenon lights? It looks pretty crazy. I've also seen them on show cars and low riders, even old school motorcycles. Even if they look a little funny they're worth it because of the low price and improved safety.
