1. To drained, skinned and flaked salmon or mackerel, add mayonnaise and any of the following and mix well, then spread on slices of wholesome bread or stuff into pita bread:
lemon juice, chopped egg, chopped celery, chopped parsley, chopped onion, chopped pickle, chopped nuts,
Accompany with: cucumber rounds, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce and tomatoes
2. To your favorite nut butter add (peanut butter, almond butter,or sesame butter, and any or all of the following and spread:
chopped dates, currants, raisins, chopped nuts-almonds, filberts, peanuts, Brazil nuts,
seeds-unhulled sesame seeds, sunflower seeds
bacon bits(if you can find bacon without sodium nitrate) applesauce or crushed pineapple
3. With mashed leftover beans, spread any of the following on sliced bread or stuff into pita bread.
chopped onion, sliced avocado, pepper rings, bacon bits(safe ones), chopped nuts, chili powder, sliced tomato, lettuce leaves, cucumber slices, chopped parsley, sliced radishes
4. To a chopped, mashed hard-cooked egg add mayonnaise and any of the following and spread on bread.
chopped onion, chopped parsley, chopped green pepper, chopped celery, chopped pickle, chopped nuts, garlic powder, paprika (pinch) (This is my Favorite)
5. Use these herbs and seeds for extra calcium:
poppy seed, celery seed, dill, cinnamon, thyme, fennel, savory, basil, oregano, terragano
Every little bit adds up.
