High End Designer Wedding Dreess Rental and Consignment

Every bride wants the perfect wedding and the perfect dress, but gowns from top designers can bust your wedding budget.

There's a new store that's helping past brides share the wealth, and even make a little money while doing it.

"We have Monique Lhuillier, we have Jim Hjelm, we have a lot of Stephen Yearicks," said Carolyn Tao of White Magnolia. "Our philosophy is that every woman should be able to find her dream dress within her budget."

New York City wedding planner Joanna Cummings, owner of Elite Weddings & Events said, "White Magnolia is my go-to boutique when I have a client in Los Angeles, clients love the gowns and I love it when a bride doesn't over spend on a dress."

White Magnolia in West Los Angeles just opened this month and is selling high-end consigned wedding gowns.

It gives brides-to-be that glamorous look at a discount and gives dresses often worn just once another walk down the aisle.

"Normally our dresses are new, once worn, or sample. The percentage is usually 40 to 60 percent off, so it's a great discount," said Tao.

A strapless, beaded Matthew Christopher creation that was once priced at around $3,500 is only $2,070.

An elaborate Stephen Yearick gown originally retailed for more than $3,200 is now half off.

Not all the dresses are consigned. You can also help a charity.

A bride can donate her wedding gown. White Magnolia will put it up for sale, and the proceeds go to Gowns For Good , which helps fund women's causes.

"They're 100 percent tax deductible, so you can bring it in and all proceeds go to women's charities in Los Angeles," said Tao.

Keep in mind that any consigned or donated gowns need to be in good to excellent condition, retail for more than $1,500, and be less than 5 years old.
