A new Executive Director, Alexandria Sica, has been appointed to the DUMBO Improvement District. Her responsibilities will include advancing the Improvement District's long-term vision for historic street reconstruction, economic development and programming. According to the Improvement District's press release from December 13th, Sica will work closely with the Board of Directors and the President of the Improvement District to earn support for great public investment in DUMBO's infrastructure. Sica's experience at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey should help her immensely in this new position. DUMBO has come a long way over the years and with the addition of the revamped park, improvement to the streets and sidewalks, and continued lobbying for the York and High Streets subway station improvements, the area should only continue to be enhanced for residents.
