The years of high school are known as the years that change your life and what make you who you are today. I partially believe this, but I will never forget high school because of all the truly amazing memories of me and my friends roaming the halls when we were supposed to be heading to class, talking to the pretty girls at their lockers, playing high school football and seeing the hundreds of people in the stands there for us, and the lunch hours when you always had the thought in your mind; "should I go back to school or just chill." Ok maybe this wasn't everybody but I know it speaks for some.
Before I started high school I was so worried about getting that A on the test and completing my homework before I went outside to play with my friends. Listening to mom and dad without worrying about what my friends thought. Then it all changed, high school helped me learn how to be an adult and strive for something better. Wait a minute; I just said all the fun things I was doing how all of a sudden did it turn to being better? Well if it wasn't for all the things I did wrong in high school having fun then I don't think I would have learned anything, oddly enough. My mom told me so many times that if I wasn't going to listen then I would have to learn the hard way. Wow was mom right. I did learn a lot of lessons the hard way and wouldn't change any of it for the world.
As stated before, high school was the best years of my life and wish so many times that I could find a time machine and just go back and re-live the good ol' days. So I challenge you to do something that you probably don't have the opportunity to do often; take a moment, sit down, and just close your eyes and go back in your mind and remember the days of high school. I am sure you will get at least one flutter in your stomach and smile on your face. Cherish those moments in life, because they will always be a memory that will never be forgotten.
