High School Musical 3 - Senior Year

With all of the mania surrounding High School Musical and High School Musical 2, can you fault Disney for already having a third installment in the works? With a Grease-like charm and music that entertains all ages, High School Musical has become a child favorite. High School Musical 2 drew a crowd of 7.73 million to their TVs.

Originally the third installment was going to follow a trite, Halloween theme; however they decided against following this path and have gone for the more wanted Senior Year. They hope to focus on prom and Graduation specifically, however no word as to the new dilemma which will no doubt trouble the stars.The Original writer Peter Basrsochinni is still going to be writing the new script and Disney believe they should be able to get the entire screen cast back together. For a short while it was believed that the two leads Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgins were saying no until Disney upped their paycheck, however this has been cleared. Both stars have willingly admitted to wanting to do another HSM. They have yet to commit this to a contract as of yet though and they cannot say for certain that the next movie will have Zac or Vanessa, even Ashley has yet to sign a contract for movie number 3. Disney has rumored that even without the stars they will make a number 3 believing that the hype will push the movie to high ratings.

For the new movie they are thinking of brining it to the movie theaters to capitalize on the interest of High School Musical 3. Even with the scandal of the lead Vanessa Hudgins racy pictures Disney is still pushing for the movie to come out no later than 2008. Vanessa quickly apologized for the blunder and her fans didn't blink an eye at the risqué photos and stood behind Vanessa. However although the leads have stated verbally they will be in on the project no one has signed a contract as of yet. But the mania has already begun with the thoughts of a HSM 3 Big Screen Movie.

The interest in High School Musical was originally pinned on the copying of Grease themed fun. However as Grease 2 bombed High School Musical 2 sky rocketed. However parents have been wanted and asking for decent G Rated movies for their children and the HSM movies have given them exactly that. The music was also great and very fun for kids. Now kids will just have to wait till next year to wait outside of the theater for hours before the release of their favorite movie.
