Now the one thing that I will tell you is that the prices are higher than you might expect. However, the quality and taste of the food justifies the cost that you pay for it. I do not want to mislead you and make you think that it is extremely expensive, because it is not. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. In addition to that the size of the plates also justifies the cost in my mind.
The restaurant itself functions somewhat like a fast food restaurant. You walk up to the counter and order your food and when it is ready they call you up. You are then able to pick any table that is available to sit at. The one thing that I am not a big fan of is the location of the restaurant. It is in an older part of town and every once in a while there are some people in the parking that I am a little wary of. However, I will let you know that I have never had any kind of trouble when I have gone there. And my guess is it will be the same for you, so long as you do not bother anyone else.
Would I recommend this restaurant for anyone craving Hawaiian food? Of course I would. In my opinion it is one of the best, if not the best, Hawaiian food restaurants on the island. Like I said though keep in mind that it is an older part of town, so leaving your valuables in the car is not really a good idea. Take your belongings with you into the restaurant or leave them in the truck. The nice thing is you will be able to see your car from the restaurant so there is no need to worry about it too much. If you are ever in the area then drop on in for some great Hawaiian food, you won't regret it.
