For the Democratic party, the two major players in the field right now are Senator Obama and Hilary Clinton. Both of them are running for President of the United States, and of course, both of them believe that they will be able to do a better job than the other.
Let's take a look at both of their credentials, though. Maybe they will be a good indicator of which person should be President. First, we'll take a look at Hilary Clinton. Only a few short years ago, she voted for the War in Iraq. She was all gung-ho about her vote and was proud that she voted for the War. Unfortunately, when America learned that there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction, Hilary Clinton, too, was a bit shocked. She actually came out and said that she knew that America should not have gone to war with Iraq. As time rolls by, however, Saddam Hussein came tumbling down and he was finally caught. This was a victorious time for both America and Hilary Clinton. She told everyone that she was proud of her vote for the War in Iraq. In more recent times, she has spoken that if she had known in the beginning what she knows now about the War in Iraq, she never would have voted for it. Well, Hilary, the fact of the matter is that you did vote for the War in Iraq back when everyone thought that we should go over there! You did vote for it; accept your vote and either apologize for it and move on, but don't keep switching sides of the fence depending on how situations arise.
Another issue within Hilary Clinton's portfolio is her statement about the Confederate Flag flying above the Capitol of South Carolina. She has said that America should unite under one flag during wartime. This comment came from the lady who is getting ready to vote for measures that will prevent the current President, George W. Bush, from sending more troops over to Iraq as re-enforcements. That comment came from the lady, Hilary Clinton, who is getting ready to vote for measures that would prevent any more money being spent on the War in Iraq. How is this uniting? More importantly, how can Hilary Clinton contradict herself on a very important issue and not see anything wrong with it?
Barack Obama has a similar situation with his portfolio for President of the United States. In his War in Iraq resolution, he has said that America should pull her troops out by March of 2008. That is all well and good if he wants the Middle East to become just a dot on the map. If we give the terrorists a timeline and a definitive date that our troops will be out, then isn't that giving them permission to keep working on their secret weapons and plans to destroy whatever they feel they want to destroy? This is a totally useless and ignorant plan. But what can you expect from someone who doesn't even know what race he identifies himself with?
Whichever candidate you choose- Barack Obama or Hilary Clinton- you will be sure to pick one that is not suited for the White House. Neither one has demonstrated the quality of a leader and neither one, up until this point at least, should be given the privilege and responsibility of the position of President until they can prove that they are fit for the job!

Post a CommentHilary needs to get the support of the young people and to change the minds of the good old boys who still believe men should run the affairs.
Hillary is interesting. She gets campaign funds from China corporations. We are now indebted to China to pay for the cost of the war in Iraq. Obama was opposed to sending troops to Iraq before we invaded. He also has a plan to help create jobs, help Midwest farmers and lessen our decency upon oil, using our corn to create biodiesel fuel. That is the kind of leader I want. One that looks to the future and does things today to solve several problems at one time. Not someone who profits from war. Halliburton, Kellogg, Root & Brown, Bush, Cheney, Viet Nam war. Dubai is not far from Iraq. Bush's bro is benefiting by the building up of the new playground for the rich. I have not verified that Bill Clinton also has a piece of that pie. Vote wisely this year.
A little study of Hitler; Hitler's association with Prescott Bush might tell you more about why we went to Iraq. "We acted on false intelligence" said Hillary during a debate. Our other Bush President was head of the CIA. Iraq was about to switch to the Euro which was going to sorely hurt the USA in World Trade. We are the largest importer of oil and have little of value to export except tobacco and corn. Countries like Brazil import our corn to make biodiesel fuel so they do not need to import more oil. Convince the people that we are in danger from terrorists and they will do all kinds of nasty stuff to Iraq men, women and children. Obama may be wrong on getting the troops out, but he said the time to think of how we could do so was before we went in.
I disagree with Obama not showing qualities of being a leader. He inspires people to take action, such as his supporters using his birthday to donate to or participate in feeding the hungry (not all hungry are homeless). Did not know that about Hill and the confederate flag, which has earned my respect~that flag belongs in a museum, not flying in these divided states of America. Especially since White Supremacists are plotting to rid the US of anyone not like them. Invading Iraq violated a contract we (not me the gov) signed making us guilty of international war criminals.
Nothing that Hillary said contradicts her decisions to vote against support for the war. America needs to unite under 1 flag, that does not mean that we must fight in a purposeless war.
idk who 2 vote 4
