Hilary Duff is Pregnant!

Hilary Duff is pregnant, becoming the latest to get in on the 2011 celebrity baby trend. So will Hilary Duff put her career on hold now that she's pregnant?

According to Star Magazine, Hilary Duff is about seven weeks pregnant, and this would be the bubbly 23-year-old's first child with her hockey player hubby Mike Comrie. Like Kate Hudson, who recently announced that she was pregnant with the child of Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie weren't trying to conceive, but are thrilled with pregnancy.

And this pregnancy news, which was reported by a pal of Hilary Duff's to Star Magazine, comes at a very big time in Hilary Duff's life. Like many child actors and actresses, the "Lizzie McGuire" star has worked hard to try and keep her career going strong into adulthood. Her most recent projects have been the made-for-TV movie "Beauty & the Briefcase" and a guest spot on the TV show "Community" playing a community college version of a mean girl. And she's been even more successful off the camera: her book entitled "Elixir" was a New York Times best seller last year. But all this success apparently hasn't been enough for Hilary Duff to slow down and take a break just yet.

Her movie "She Wants Me" is recently filming, so being pregnant might push this project back a bit. The movie is about a writer who has written a movie role specifically for his girlfriend. Unfortunately, an A-list actress (Hilary Duff's character) falls in love with the role and wants it for herself, putting the writer in a very sticky situation. However, it's looking less like a pregnant Hilary Duff is going to be the biggest problem getting this movie made; Charlie Sheen is also starring in it.

Hilary Duff is also rumored to be starring in "The Gift Horse" and will be playing Bonnie Parker in "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde" in 2011. So with being pregnant and becoming a new mom, it looks like Hilary Duff is going to be very busy this year. Will she be able to handle it all? Well, Mike Comrie is a hockey player (and all that skating has got to give a guy a whole lot of stamina), so he definitely should be a big help to Hilary Duff during what could be a very hectic time in her life. And Hilary Duff has something else going for her: she actually managed to beat the child actor curse, something that's almost as hard to do as having a child.
