Hillary Clinton Proposes $5,000 Dollar "Baby Bond"

A Paltry Amount - a $25,000 Bond and She'll Get My Vote

Clark Richards
Hillary Clinton has proposed that our government provide each child born in America with a $5,000 bond to help them pay for college or the down payment on a home when they reach a certain age. Actually she said "I like the idea" when she was speaking to an audience that would be especially receptive to the idea. Is that worth votes in the upcoming election? She's got my attention.

One can argue that $5,000 twenty years from now will be a paltry sum. An amount closer to $25,000 would seem to be more useful or perhaps even a larger amount would be better. After all the costs of education and housing are always rising. Those rich people would just have to pay a bit more in taxes.

I've always wondered what rich people do with their money. What does Hillary Clinton do with her money? She's rich. After pondering the question for a few seconds, I came to the conclusion that they spend it. They buy stuff. They buy cars, houses, jewelry, electronics, clothes and other goods that I can't afford, so why not take some of their money for the good of others? Perhaps Hillary Clinton can give me some of her money. It will be good for me.

My children are struggling to pay their tuition and certainly they will want to purchase a home a bit later in their lives. I certainly can't afford to pay for all of it, but the rich can. Instead of purchasing several expensive automobiles, they could purchase just one and then give me the money they saved. So a few autoworkers will be out of work. That's no big deal as my children will be better educated and have a nice home with that money.

If Hillary Clinton canceled just one big ad, I bet it would pay my children's tuition and there would be enough left over to buy a house. Those newspaper and television people make more than me anyway.

I want to be rich and I'm working hard to acquire some wealth so I can buy stuff, but if the government can pass a law and give me money, I'm all for it. Hillary Clinton has my vote if she can make this "baby bond" thing work. I'll need it to be retroactive though.

If I took some money from a rich person that would be illegal and would be called stealing, but if Hillary Clinton can get a law passed where the government takes it and then gives it to me that is legal.

Walter Williams, an economist at George Mason University has written extensively about how economics really works in our society. He states that, "once Congress establishes that one person can live at the expense of another, it pays for everyone to try to do so." Hillary Clinton will help us do this. Williams goes on to say, "Williams, don't you believe in helping your fellow man?" Yes, I do. I believe that reaching into one's own pockets to help his fellow man is both laudable and praiseworthy. Reaching into another's [italics added] pockets to help his fellow man is despicable and worthy of condemnation.

But what does Williams know? He's rich too. He's just trying to protect his money. Besides, I'd much rather get money from the government than have to work for it. I could sit on the front porch and relax more often. In fact, I could hire someone to mow my lawn with the money the government will give me. And if that lawn mowing guy earns too much, the government can take some of his money and give it to me. We might even have enough to hire a maid!

C'mon Hillary - get this thing passed!

If a smart person invest 5000.00 by the time they go to college they will have much more.

I don't know about this concept. I see a tax increase in our future.

In college she was called, "Hillary the Red." In case you are too young to remember, Communists were called "Reds" back in the fifties and sixties. She is a Communist who wants to force those with abilities to provide for the lazy good for nothings with needs. People like her have destroyed the greatest nation that ever exited. I remember it and despise the people who destroyed it!

Many moons ago the government suggested the people had to pay Social Security taxes and be assured income paid back upon retirement. Of course when one applied for a job, one could not say "no thank you". Now that all us people paid into the system our entire lives we are being told the government can not keep their promise because they misused the funds. Then there was that thing they used to call Unemployment Insurance... Yet she is the favorite, according to straw polls and even GWB says she will make a great Pres.
