Hillary Clinton Supports the Latino Community by Announcing the National Hispanic Leadership Council

Today Hillary Clinton showed her support for the latino community by announcing the formation of the National Hispanic Leadership Council, according to Clinton's official campaign website.

The announcement was stated by Clinton Saturday in Orlando, Fla., while participating in 24th Annual Conference of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. Clinton also announced the National Hispanic Leadership Council's Executive Committee, which consisted of a large array of local and national Hispanic leaders. The purpose of the National Hispanic Leadership Council;s Executive Committee, according to Clinton's campaign website, is to:

" [...] serve as an advisory board for the campaign on issues important to the Latino community and will play an active role reaching out and organizing Hispanics in their communities and across the country."

Hispanic leaders from across the nation have shown their support for Clinton and her campaign so far. Hispanic leaders such as New York Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez, Florida State Rep. Luis García, and Campaign Co-Chair and Chair of Hispanic Outreach Raul Yzaguirre are only a few names that support Clinton with her campaign.

Hillary Clinton had this to say to her congressional and other Hispanic leaders that help support her campaign:

"I am honored to be joined by so many leaders that have dedicated their lives to advocating for better education for our children, access to health care, civil and voting rights and advancing economic opportunities not only for Latinos, but for all Americans. With their support, we will continue taking our message of change across the country."

According to a USA/Gallup Poll stated on Clinton's campaign website, Clinton leads the primary field for Hispanic voters by 46 points. Hillary has fought for many important aspects of the Latino community, including health care, education, humane immigration reform, and much more, which is fully stated on Clinton's presidential website.
