Hillary Clinton and Tony Rezco
Hillary, Barak, and the Slumlords that Bind Them
A photo has surfaced that shows, then First Lady and former President Clinton, posing with the infamous Tony Rezco. The three are full of smiles and seem to be very happy to pose in the photo-op. Tony Rezco has long been a supporter of the Democratic Party and has donated several thousands of dollars in campaign money to the Democratic Party, including Bill Clinton's re-election campaign.
Hillary Clinton is claiming ignorance and states that she does not know Tony Rezco. Clinton further goes on to say that, she has posed for hundreds of thousands of pictures, and that some times she does not even know who these people are. This is in fact, an understandable excuse. There are many politicians that pose with donors and they do not know who they are, and it cannot be expected that they investigate every single donor before they take a picture with them.
Nevertheless, this is not the first time that the Clinton's have been caught posing with people that would later become known as charlatans or undesirable in their political aspirations. In 1996, a photo surfaced of Hillary Clinton at a White House Christmas Party. The person in the photo with her is a convicted drug smuggler by the name of Jorge Cabrera. It is reported that only three weeks after the event Mr. Cabrera was arrested for smuggling 6,000 pounds of cocaine into the U.S.
Another incident, which gained National notoriety in the media, was that event in which it was discovered that Johnny Chung had contributed to the Clinton re-election campaign. It was soon uncovered that Johnny Chung was guilty of bank fraud, tax evasion, and making illegal donations to the Democratic Party. There is a picture of the Clintons posing and smiling with Johnny Chung and it even has a note scrawled on it from Hillary Clinton.
There is another photo in which Bill and Hillary Clinton posed with NG Lapseng. NG Lapseng is a criminal mob boss that made most of his money through prostitution, gun smuggling, and drugs. These are just a few examples in which a politician can sometimes inadvertently get themselves into trouble through association. These were nothing more than photo ops ad many people feel obligated to do so when the occasion comes up. However, it is important to be careful who you condemn for their own associations because it can always come back to haunt you.

its possible that they the clintons might not know Resco, but its hard to imagine he took the photo and simply walked out of the room, I mean this isn't your typical autograph hunter.
"Rezko" or "Rezco," it's been printed both ways. It doesn't bother me. What does is that this isn't Obama had a photo op with Tony Rezco. It's a long standing relationship, it's how he got his mansion. There's a whole ugly story about how, when he couldn't afford the place and the land, it was split and it was a "landmark" so the split had to go through the Landmark Committee. Good Point. Hillary is not popular with the media because she is good at not creating new stories.
Bill & Hillary Clinton have their pictures taken with many less than savory characters. Political groupies & elbow rubbers come out the wood work when your governor of a state or candidate for President of the United States. Your commentary fails to fairly mention that Barack Obama utilized the serivces of Mr. Rezko as his Senatorial Campaign Finance Manager. A bit worse that a photo op! That's either really bad judgement or a relationship that needs to be investigated before we elect this super charismatic, but relatively inexperienced man to the most powerful position in the world. If we don't ask these tough questions now, what do you think the Republicans will do with this during the election campaign. Have we forgotten what they did with "Swiftboat"?
